"The last meeting of the Group was held on 25 September 2010. The German Heart Institute Berlin kindly provided us once again the premises. Our meeting was opened with a brief round of introductions. Here, the versatility of the Marfan syndrome was very clear. All stories are similar, but not the same. Every single individual has his own individual life with the Marfan related experiences and problems. The slightly older ones have learned in the meantime, with plenty of black humor on their past, some dramatic life to look back. All those present have now consulted the newly established Marfan's center and are using the new form of care acc. § 116b SGB V very satisfied. The issues we responded in the afternoon ranging literally from head to toe. Ventilation problems of the middle ear, wardrobe or deposits for the shoes are just some examples of the variety of topics. Time went by quickly. The date for the next meeting will be posted.
